This is, excitingly, my first day, and post, into my blog. I can say that I can't wait to dive headfirst into all of this, so let me start with a quick update of where I am in my current book.
Johnny got his Gun is not only terrifying, but terribly eye-opening for me, because of my limited exposure to war injuries. Told from the mind of Johnny, a severely wounded American solider from World War I, we are shown the real meaning of war, and the value of life that most people often don't appreciate. This book is incredibly touching to me, and inspiring. I never thought I could become this anti-war, and I'm not even finished with it yet. I can't believe how powerful this novel has been.
Soon, I'd like to post a review of a galley book I stumbled upon in the Patient's Library at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The book has inspired me, and it has a story I'd like to share.
Until then, Healthy Reads,
